Education

Educator

I am very passionate about the importance of science education in both formal and informal settings.

AMNH

I got my start as a student in the education department at the American Museum of Natural History and spent fifteen years going from student to intern, to educator. I have taught across several programs from preK to 12th grade at AMNH including the Adventures in Science workshops and camps, the Lang Science Program, the After-School Program, Science Alliance Program, Science and Nature Program and school partnership programs. Topics include: marine biology, paleontology, ecology, molecular biology, research methods etc.

DNA Learning Center

I was also an educator at the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory DNA Learning Center where I taught middle and high school classes and ran the Urban Barcode Project.

New York City Private Schools

I taught in a formal setting in two NYC private schools during my time as an educator. Classes included elementary, middle and high school biology, middle school chemistry and physics.
